I would say if you are between sizes, go up, not down. These are very cute. Nice fabric. Nice, low heel. The zipper backing is a little stiff, so there is some bulging there as other reviews have mentioned, but it also is a slightly slouchy look boot once on, so the little bulging doesn't stand out to me. I did cut the zipper guard off inside one of the boots in order to see if the lessened bulk would take care of the bulges, but I think the improvement is only very slight. The most important thing for keeping the slim line of the boot is to keep it from slipping below the knee. I ordered some stretch laces to replace the cute (because of the tassels) lace that the boot comes with. The original laces have NO stretch, which is a large part of the problem with keeping them up. They need to be able to give a little and recover as you walk around. So, including replacement laces, these are a little pricey for what they are. Still, a nice boot that I will enjoy wearing.I really really love these boots. I purchased them for working in nightlife so I needed a pair of boots that have a slight heel but obviously not too high that would kill my feet and a pair of boots that would stay up thigh high and not slouch down all night.I have an athletic build especially in my lower body so I have a hard time finding boots that fit my calves, and had absolutely no issues with these boots. They aren't stretchy exactly but the material isn't stiff either so it has enough give that it feels comfortable on my legs. I also am typically a 6.5 or a 7 and for the sake of not wanting to have to re order if they were too small I went with my half size up so I got a 7. They fit perfect.I wore them all night and really didn't have any issues with them. Had to pull them up a couple times but way less than my prior pairs of boots so totally okay with it.LOVE THESE! Was unsure if they would fit over my calves but had absolutely no problem. I am 5’11 and have an athletic/thicker build with a little bit of larger than average calves; I ordered a size 10. I had no problem getting them on and they come to right above my knee and stayed there for the night. They have a drawstring in the back that I find very cute and can tighten without putting a dent in my leg. Even though I usually wear a 10, sometimes I could use a 10.5 depending on the brand, but these fit perfect and are comfortable! They had that new shoe snuggness in the foot when I first put them on but had no breaking in pain and they were fitted after one wear. Looking to buy in another color!I love these boots ! I also have them in grey ... but I just wanted to jump on here and say really quick... if you have a wide or a semi wide foot don’t even bother ... I have a pretty narrow foot and it was a tad bit tight on me ... also not a 5 Star ⭐️ is one of the tassels was almost cut off so I had to fix that ...I love these boots! I'm pretty short, 5'2", but I look great. I wasn't liking my legs lately, for some odd reason, so I was thinking of getting some opaque hosiery and wearing some pretty heels. You know? Also, I wear a lot of dresses. The boot just about (almost) hits the hem of my dresses. Oddly enough, it works! And I gotta tell you, they feel fabulous! So if you're thinking at all about, perhaps, purchasing these beautiful boots, don't hesitate. Buy them! And you won't even have to thank me ;)Such great boots!!! They're super comfortable and actually keep my toes warm, all the while staying stylish. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the sole of the shoe; it's got a patch of suede-like (?) material, so I constantly feel like I'm about to slip when walking on wood or tile floors. Regarding the other reviews about the boot slouching: mine did slouch a bit as well, however the adjustable tie on the back keeps them up for the most part (for calf-size reference, I wear a size 4 skinny jean). I'm generally a 7 in all shoes but I ordered a 6.5 for these and they fit perfectly. There is some slouching where the zipper is buT it doesn't look bad. I have thin legs too and the boots stay up just fine!I'm giving this product 4 stars because I didn't like the way the boots fit. They are very cute, came in a timely manner and the sizing is as expected. Unfortunately, the boots weren't as tight and fitted as I would have liked. I'll order again waiting for Amazon to send the right boots. Hope was just a mistake.
